As soon as we began planning this summer, we realized we needed to revise our itinerary.
Never again . . . Portland Fairview . . . NEVER!
Hee Hee Illahee RV Resort in Salem, Oregon, became our new home. This change of venues was a positive relief and welcomed change for us! We camped there for about six weeks, along with a couple of stays at nearby Woodburn RV Park, in Woodburn, Oregon.
Hee Hee Illahee is a popular camping spot, especially around the time of the Oregon State Fair, held in Salem each summer. The Hee Hee Illahee RV office staff found and reserved enough open spots for us. We could stay there for six weeks, but not in any one site because this park honors reservations that campers have made for specific sites (some even 12 months in advance). Then, following Oregon State law, we had to leave the park for one night after having stayed 28 nights. With all this in mind, we posted our schedule to keep on track of when we had to move and set up in a new site. And then we noticed other campers relocating one row over or two spots down during their stays at Hee Hee Illahee. Still, it's a lovely, well-kept RV park. We look forward to staying here next summer.
